DOROTHY and ROBIN ROSS would like to welcome you to EASTBANK BED & BREAKFAST which is the upper conversion of a traditional Victorian villa in Helensburgh, built in 1832. There are 18 steps to the main entrance but no stairs inside.

EASTBANK is a VisitScotland 3 Star Bed & Breakfast establishment  Both Robin and Dorothy have Welcome Host and Scotland’s Best Certificates. Your hosts have a good knowledge of the area and would be pleased to help you plan your trip. Robin has now retired and has a certificate for Drystane Dyking. Dorothy is a knitter and has certificates to allow her to teach Machine Knitting.

EASTBANK has been delightfully modernised to give you a comfortable holiday, and is, of course, fully centrally heated, with thermostatic controls in all rooms. It is situated in a quiet part of Helensburgh, only 10 minutes walk from the town centre. The accommodation offered is 1 double/twin room with en-suite facilities and 1 family room. There is ample off street parking.

HELENSBURGH is an attractive seaside town, with plenty of restaurants and shops. There are many buildings of architectural interest including Charles Rennie MacKintosh’s Hill House (National Trust) and the worlds last sea going Paddle Steamer ‘The Waverley’ calls in twice a week, during the summer. HELENSBURGH is an ideal centre for exploring West and Central Scotland. Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, Stirling, the Trossachs (Braveheart Country) and Inveraray are all within easy reach. Sea or loch fishing, sailing, hillwalking, mountain-biking and golfing (the Loch Lomond Golf Course is just 15 minutes away) are all at hand.

HELENSBURGH has two train stations. Central Station which takes 45 mniutes to reach Glasgow and a further hour to reach Edinburgh.  This is a thirty minute service. The Upper line gives access to the panoramic scenery of the West Highland Line with daily return journeys to Oban, Fort William and Mallaig.

Glasgow Airport (GLA) is only thirty minutes travelling time from Helensburgh. Glasgow Prestwick is 1.5 Hrs car journey. Need to collect your e-mail’s - use our free WiFi.
